VFW Post 5659 brings together eligible veterans who continue serving long after military service ends. Our post supports veterans and their families, promotes patriotism, participates in community events, and helps preserve the memory of those who served before us.
We welcome veterans, families, community partners, and supporters who want to strengthen the veteran community in Brooks County.

Post 5659 and community volunteers proudly place American flags around the Brooks County Courthouse to honor veterans, celebrate our nation, and create a visible reminder of the sacrifices made for our freedom.

VFW Post 5659 will be placing American flags around the Brooks County Courthouse from Memorial Day to Independence Day.
Sponsorship: $60.00
The sponsorship is tax deductible, and sponsors receive the flag and a Certificate of Appreciation.

If you served honorably in the U.S. Armed Forces and earned qualifying overseas service, campaign recognition, or hostile-fire/imminent-danger pay, you may be eligible for VFW membership.
Post membership provides fellowship, veteran advocacy, community service opportunities, and a way to continue the traditions of service and camaraderie.
